Ming-Huei Cheng, M.D., FACS

Dr. Cheng is listed among the most sought-after surgeons in the reconstructive microsurgery field. He has been invited as a visiting professor to more than 30 world-renowned medical centers in the United States and other countries. He has authored a total of 233 peer-reviewed papers, 41 book chapters, and edited one lymphedema textbook (Principles and Practice of Lymphedema Surgery, 2016, Elsevier). There is a total of 6,815 citations of his publications with the h-index of 44 at the Google Scholar on February 11, 2019. He is the pioneer of the vascularized lymph node transfer for treatment of the breast and gynecological cancer-related lymphedema and the author of 54 SCI papers and 16 book chapters in the field of lymphedema microsurgery. He has 20 patents including one US patent of the Device for “Draining Lymph into Vein,” which is the innovation to solve the extremity lymphedema problem without donor site morbidity. He is the section editor of Annals Surgical Oncology and editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal Surgical Oncology, Microsurgery, and Annals of Plastic Surgery.

Miffy Chia-Yu Lin, a Ph.D., is the lymphedema coordinator at the Center of Lymphedema Microsurgery. She is the contact person for patients to book consultations with Dr. Cheng. She can be contacted by phone, email, or WhatsApp. She is extremely knowledgeable in treating lymphedema patients and committed to strive for the continuous improvement of lymphedema care and treatment. She has been working at the center for over a decade. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
